Steadfast LA, in partnership with Banc of California, has announced a second round of small business recovery grants aimed at helping wildfire-impacted neighborhoods across Los Angeles continue rebuilding after the January 2025 fires.

The latest round awarded $400,000 in direct grants to ten small businesses located in Altadena, Malibu, Pasadena, and the Pacific Palisades. With this distribution, the Small Business Initiative has now provided a total of $525,000 in grant funding to local businesses affected by the wildfires.

Supporting Local Recovery

The grants support a range of neighborhood businesses — including restaurants, cafés, pharmacies, dental offices, and veterinary centers — many of which suffered severe damage or prolonged closures following the fires. Some establishments were destroyed entirely, while others experienced major declines in customers as residents were displaced.

The funding is intended to help businesses reopen, restore jobs, and reestablish essential services within their communities.

Grant Recipients

The businesses receiving grants in this round include:

  • Altadena Beverage and Market (Pasadena)
  • Beach Side Café / Upstage Catering (Pacific Palisades)
  • Bulgarini Gelato Artigianale (Altadena)
  • The Palisades Dentists (Pacific Palisades)
  • Palisades Garden Café (Pacific Palisades)
  • Juicy Ladies (Pacific Palisades)
  • V’s Restaurant + Bar (Malibu)
  • Pacific Palisades Veterinary Center (Pacific Palisades)
  • Vittorio’s (Pacific Palisades)
  • Knolls Pharmacy (Pacific Palisades)

This second round follows an initial grant distribution in September, when three Altadena businesses received early recovery funding.

Public-Private Partnership

Steadfast LA’s Small Business Initiative launched in August 2025 and provides grants of up to $50,000 to small businesses impacted by the fires. The program is supported by a $1 million contribution from Banc of Californiathrough its Wildfire Relief & Recovery Fund, with Steadfast LA providing additional financial and operational support.

In conjunction with the announcement, Steadfast LA released a video highlighting participating business owners and detailing how the grants will help accelerate their recovery.

Ongoing Efforts

Organizers say the initiative reflects a broader approach to wildfire recovery — one that recognizes the role small businesses play in restoring economic activity, employment, and a sense of normalcy in affected neighborhoods.

As rebuilding continues, Steadfast LA has indicated it will remain focused on initiatives that help communities recover efficiently and sustainably.
